Happy Monday! Our blog showcase today will be a triple. I love art in any shape or form so today we’ll feature three blogs, each with a different view of art. Creativity expressed through reading, photography and drawing. These three bloggers all share one thing in common, art, and how it reflects or impacts their lives.
Fumbling For Light
This post was touching, and it brought a few tears to my eyes reading it. I love expression, and it comes in so many ways. This blogger captures creativity in a few soulful words. Using Art to express and work through a difficult time, I find her art inspiring.
About Fumbling for Light
On May 26, 2012, I lost my boyfriend, a man I considered to be my soulmate. This is my attempt to make sense of his loss, and how to rebuild a life I thought I would be sharing with him. It won’t always be pretty, or deep, or even coherent. So little of this process is any of those things. I will do what I try to do every day: my best to muddle through. At this point, I am not asking for any more than that.
“We have art in order not to die of the truth.”
~Fridrich NietzscheAnd it’s true. ….I am an artist, because now my life and my sanity depend on it. I am an artist, because I have no other choice. I am an artist, because either my soul creates, or my spirit dies. I create to live.
Becoming Aussie
When I read this post, I couldn’t help smiling. The photographs are amazing, and the scenes magical. The story behind the photographs is also romantic, and it certainly makes me want to visit Aussie.
About Josephine in her own words
Hi! I’m Josephine, an American expat living in Australia. Two years ago, I left California to take up an awesome job offer in Sydney. As destiny would have it, I met the man of my dreams through my new boss (he was her step-son!). We fell in love, got married, and the rest is history. Becoming Aussie is where I collect my little doses of Australian culture and capture the changes I experience in this new life abroad. Thanks for having a peek into my little world!
Sleep Deprived Diva
I love this post, simply titled, ‘What I Read’. It speaks for itself.
That’s all for our own excursions in the blogosphere. There are so many blogs out there, so much information and creativity going on. I get inspired reading stories and seeing new places on photographs. My list of places to visit keeps growing with every blog I read.
I hope you have a lovely week, one more, and January will be officially over. 2013 is growing on me.
Cheers, Scot.
